OFFLINE TRAVEL PACK
Georgia essentials, even when the signal disappears.
Save the practical pages you are most likely to need on marshrutkas, trains, airport transfers and mountain trips. After one download, this pack works from your browser in airplane mode.
This pack saves the Georgia Essentials homepage, this offline card and every practical guide in English. Clearing browser site data removes the saved copy.
Prefer a file you can keep in Downloads or print? Get the 3-page A4 cheat sheet with marshrutkas, trains, airports, mandatory insurance and emergency essentials.
π² Optional: add it to your home screen
Your browser may offer βAdd to Home Screenβ or βInstall appβ. This is optional β the saved pages work offline from the browser after download.

BEFORE YOU LEAVE WI-FI
Save these before a mountain or intercity trip
- Download an offline map for the whole route, not just the destination.
- Screenshot your accommodation name, address and map pin β preferably also in Georgian.
- Save the exact departure station for your marshrutka or train.
- Keep some Georgian lari in cash for local transport and small businesses.
- Save your hotel and transport-company phone numbers.
- Save Georgiaβs emergency number: 112.
MARSHRUTKA CHEAT SHEET
When local transport is less standardized
Tbilisi has several departure points. Didube is important for many northern and western routes, but do not assume every marshrutka leaves there.
Show the Georgian or English place name before boarding. For remote routes, confirm the day and approximate departure time.
Lari is the safest payment backup. Do not depend on contactless payment for a shared minibus.
Large bags may go in the rear or on a roof rack. Keep valuables with you.
If the route is seasonal, full or not running, check a train, coach, taxi/share ride or an overnight stop.
EMERGENCY & MOUNTAINS
If you have no data
π Emergency
Dial 112 for emergency services in Georgia. The official 112 service says the number can be called even without a SIM card.
πΊοΈ Offline map
Save the route before leaving a city. Mountain roads may have long stretches where mobile data is unreliable.
π§ Water & weather
Carry water and check mountain weather before losing coverage. Conditions can change quickly.
π¨ Address
Keep your guesthouse name, phone number and map pin available offline.
MOBILE DATA
Local SIMs are inexpensive β offline is still useful
Magti currently advertises airport tourist SIM offers and Cellfie lists a 14-day Tourist bundle for 19 GEL with 5 GB. Local data is affordable, but an offline backup still matters on mountain routes.
ARRIVAL
Airport basics without data
βοΈ Tbilisi Airport
Bus 337 is the low-cost public-transport option when it is operating; keep the stop and hotel address saved before landing.
π¬ Kutaisi Airport
Save whether you are continuing to Kutaisi, Tbilisi or a railway connection before leaving airport Wi-Fi.
π Taxi / app
If an app fails, use an official airport option or a clearly agreed fare rather than improvising after losing data.
MONEY
Georgia money card
- Currency: Georgian lari (GEL / βΎ).
- Cards are common in Tbilisi and larger towns.
- Carry cash for marshrutkas, markets, villages and small guesthouses.
- Keep a second physical card as backup.
